Privacy
This site collects nothing about you. The rest of this page explains what that means and where the exceptions are.
What this site does not do
There are no cookies, no analytics, no tracking pixels, no advertising, and no third-party scripts. There is no form to fill in and no newsletter to join. Every page loads as a single file — the portrait and the icon are embedded in it, so your browser never fetches anything from another server while reading.
One small script runs on every page. It picks a video title at random from a list built into the page and swaps it into the footer link. It reads nothing and sends nothing anywhere.
What the host sees
The site is served by Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, it processes the ordinary details of a request — the IP address it came from, the browser making it, and the page asked for — in order to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. I don't run analytics on top of that, and I don't build profiles of visitors.
If you email me
Writing to me sends an email, which lands in my mailbox with my email provider, Google Workspace. I read it and I reply. I keep the correspondence the way anyone keeps their email. I won't add you to a mailing list, because there isn't one, and I won't pass your address to anyone else.

This site links out to YouTube, X, LinkedIn, and one page on avatar.andrewng.org. Once you follow a link you're on someone else's site, under their privacy policy rather than this one.
AI and this writing
The robots.txt file grants search engines and AI systems permission to index this site, to draw on it when answering questions, and to train on it. That's a deliberate choice about my own writing. It says nothing about you, because there is nothing about you here to give away.

If this policy changes in substance, the date below changes with it.
